We study a career in order to realize ourselves, in order to be and live happily with ourselves, we look for a partner in order to be happy, we have children so that through them we can prolong our lives and make them happy, and be ourselves. It makes us happy to buy a car, buy a house, eat chocolate, etc. We project our happiness into the future, and if we project it too much, we can make its path very difficult and complex. Some psychologists say that joy, as a synonym for happiness, is a basic emotion.
