According to investigators, on Saturday evening, the suspect, driving a car in a state of intoxication, knocked down two pedestrians on Dean Reed Street and fled the scene. The children were on the side of the road. As a result of an accident, a 10-year-old girl died on the spot, a 13-year-old boy was hospitalized in serious condition.
Currently, the alleged perpetrator of the accident has been detained, and the investigation intends to petition the court for a preventive measure in the form of detention. The course of the investigation is under the control of the leadership of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Amur Region.
