Russian journalist Nikolai Svanidze was taken off the ventilator. According to RBC, this was announced by a member of the Human Rights Council Eva Merkacheva.
“They disconnected him from the apparatus, he breathes on his own, and he began to speak. I asked to be given a tube, but they told me that a little later. But in principle, he is already talking, ”she said.
Merkacheva clarified that she was talking to relatives of Svanidze, who are next to him. According to her, it is already possible to speak about favorable forecasts: “The recovery course is already underway.”
Svanidze is a TV journalist and historian. He was the host of the programs “Details”, “Historical Chronicles with Nikolai Svanidze”, “Historical Process”. Last November, President Vladimir Putin expelled Svanidze from the Human Rights Council, which the journalist attributed to his anti-war stance. In December, he was fired from the post of director of the Mass Media Institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH).
