Investigators opened a criminal case against a 19-year-old girl for desecrating a mass grave in the center of Saratov. According to TASS, according to investigators, in a state of intoxication, she committed unlawful acts at the Eternal Flame near the monument to the Fighters of the Socialist Revolution of 1917 under video recording.

“The Investigation Department for the Volzhsky District of Saratov Regional Investigation Department initiated a criminal case against a 19-year-old girl on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, on March 17, 2023, at about 10:00 p.m., a suspect in a state of intoxication was at the Eternal Flame of the monument to the Fighters of the Socialist Revolution of 1917 in the garden named after Radishchev in the city of Saratov. In the specified place, the girl, making a video recording on the camera of her mobile phone, committed unlawful acts, ”the press service of the Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Saratov Region reported.

The press service added that after the crime, the girl posted a video on a social network. Investigators are conducting investigative and procedural actions with the suspect.

As previously reported, police officers detained a 19-year-old resident of the Balakovo district and her friend, who was also on video. Then a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up for a 19-year-old girl, she was assigned five days of administrative arrest. The police officers held a preventive conversation with the second detainee.
