Late last year, the U.S. Congress also approved a bill to ban TikTok from federal government phones and electronic devices.
US lawmakers are planning to consider a bill that would allow the US president to completely ban the use of this application.
According to US officials, the Chinese authorities may use a Chinese application to collect data from US users.
