Chinese President Xi Jinping has begun a state visit to Russia. His plane landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport.

The visit of the Chinese leader will continue until March 22. It is expected that during the talks with President Vladimir Putin, topical issues of further development of relations of “comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between Russia and China” will be discussed. In addition, it is planned to sign joint documents.

As RBC notes, on the eve of the visit, welcome banners were placed in Moscow with the text: “We warmly welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia.” The initiative belonged to the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia. “There are 15 banners in total. The banners are located on Kievskoye Highway, Leninsky Prospekt, the Salyut Hotel has a media banner with a video,” Bin Xin, assistant to the chairman of the union, told the agency.

Xi Jinping last visited Russia in 2019. Putin visited China in early February last year.
