Ecuadorian students

From Ecuador there are about 200 young people who have chosen to specialize in the Portuguese country. A bachelor’s degree takes 3 years of study.

That your daughter has the opportunity to study in Europe, prepare with international teachers, speak other languages, such as English and Portuguese while meeting people from different cultures, has been a truly enriching experience, says Alina Rodríguez, mother of Verónica Llerandi Rodríguez , who in 2019 carried out the procedures so that her daughter could study in Portugal.

Verónica is currently studying the third year of Multimedia Design at the University of Beira Interior, located in the city of Covilha. Rodríguez says that one of the things she liked the most about her daughter’s admission process was the transparency in the process. “From the beginning, the Estudar Portugal advisers gave us all the help, they even waited for my daughter at the airport the day she arrived, to accompany her to carry out her initial procedures,” said Rodríguez, for whom trust was the first thing at the time. deciding to invest in Llerandi’s education.

Another advantage of studying in Portugal, says Rodríguez, is that the University of Beira, like the rest of the European universities, enjoys the Erasmus program, a possibility that allows foreigners to study at any other university in the European Union. for one or two semesters, which gives students a broader scope to expand their university studies.

Portugal is a destination already chosen by 130 Ecuadorian university students

A similar case is that of Nahír Salgado, one of the students who recently arrived at the University of Algarve in September 2021 to study Psychology.

“Knowing that she is in a quiet country, without problems of insecurity and receiving a quality education outweighs the fact that she is missed on a daily basis.” This is how Ana Lucía Pérez, Master in Teaching Technologies and Practices, expresses herself about her daughter Nahír Salgado.

She says that her daughter, who despite her 17 years is very independent, before leaving school began to investigate which universities abroad she could go to study her career and that she decided on Portugal, because in addition to being a country nice and cozy its educational offer is affordable. “She compared some options with the universities here in Ecuador and we concluded that it is even a little cheaper to study in that country and the advantage of obtaining a third-level degree in three years and a fourth-level degree in two more, it makes it even more striking, ”said Pérez.
