President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the country does not plan to enter into a military conflict. It is reported by RBC with reference to BelTA.
Earlier, Lukashenko announced the failed “operation against Belarus.” According to the head of state, the SBU, together with the US CIA, tried to destroy the Russian A-50 early warning and guidance aircraft on the territory of the republic, but the attackers were detained. According to the president, the operation began planning five to eight months ago, preparing for this terrorist – a Russian citizen with a Ukrainian passport, who was born in Krivoy Rog, but lived in Crimea.
Lukashenka called the incident a challenge and stressed that “such operations are not carried out without the consent of the head of the country and the commander in chief.” He called the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky a “nit”.
“If they are counting (I know that they want to draw us into the war at the command of the Americans) … If you think that by throwing this challenge you will drag us into the war tomorrow, which is already going on all over Europe today, you are mistaken,” he assured.
According to Lukashenka, the attempt to blow up the plane had no military significance, “everything was designed for the media.” He called this failed attack and the recent attack by saboteurs in Russia’s Bryansk region “links in the same chain.”
