The SkyShowtime streaming service has just entered the Polish market and is already announcing another major premiere. This spring we will see the series adaptation of “Fatal Attraction”. This is a cult erotic thriller from 1987, the plot of which in the new version is to be shown from the perspective of strong women.

The new “Fatal Attraction” will not be a sequel to the film, but its in-depth version, which will be set in modern times. According to the announcement, we will again witness betrayal and human obsessions. The creators of the series say that the timeless theme of marital infidelity will be presented from the present perspective of strong women, personality disorders and obsessive control.

Fatal Attraction returns as a series

We will also see new actors in the main roles. Instead of Michael Douglas and Glenn Close, Joshua Jackson (Dream Lake, Fringe) as Dan Gallagher and Lizzy Caplan (Master of Sex, Mean Girls) as Alex Forrest, who after a brief fling, she becomes obsessed with her lover.

They will be joined on screen by Amanda Peet as Beth Gallagher, Alyssa Jirrels as Ellen Gallagher, Toby Huss as Mike Gerard, Reno Wilson as Detective Earl Booker and Brian Goodman as Arthur Tomlinson.

The premiere of the series “Fatal Attraction” was announced in the United States on May 1. In Poland, the production will be available via the SkyShowtime platform this spring.

Alexandra Cunningham (Dirty John, Chance) is the writer, showrunner and executive producer of the series. Executive producers are Kevin J. Hynes (Perry Mason), who co-created the production with Cunningham, and Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television. Another executive producer is Silver Tree, who directed five episodes of the series.
