Czech police are investigating the theft of an English breeding horse from a stable in the village of Krabcice in the northeast of the country. It is reported by RBC with reference to the statement of the department.
It is reported that a 16-year-old bay stallion named Zazu belongs to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. The horse was included in Kadyrov’s property, frozen in the Czech Republic under international sanctions. This was confirmed by Mikulas Halas, spokesman for the Department of External Relations and Communications of the Ministry of Finance, noting that the department could not provide additional information when investigating the theft.
According to police, the horse was stolen on the night of March 4. “The thief removed a chain with a carbine from the sliding door and took away the breeding stallion,” the police said. The agency gave the signs of the animal: a white star on the forehead and another white mark on the right hind leg below the thigh. The cost of the horse is almost 400 thousand Czech crowns (about $19 thousand).
According to Jezdci.cz, Kadyrov purchased the horse in 2012 from the German company WH Sport International to participate in the Dubai World Cup, a prestigious horse race (the total prize fund in 2023 is $30.5 million). Then Zazu came fifth. In total, according to the portal, this stallion participated in 36 races, won nine and earned more than 1.2 million euros.
