Matilda Damiecka sings: Men keep explaining the world to me and no one has apologized yet

Matylda Damiêcka and Radek Łukasiewicz – that is Matylda/Łukasiewicz – present a piece about mansplaining, ie disrespect and condescending treatment of women who know their field.

Men keep explaining the world to me, and none have apologized yet

for things I know better. How much longer must I endure this?

– these are the first words of the song “Men”. Later, we hear Łukasiewicz’s voice saying words that many women must have heard in their lives:

Wait a minute, let me finish/ Oh, you must have gone too far, honey/ I’ll explain it to you/ Shhh…

Matilda/Łukasiewicz: We are wondering how it is for a man and a woman to live in the modern world

– Mansplaining has no gender and can happen to anyone. We definitely do not recommend it – declares the team and adds:

Together, we wonder what it’s like to live as a man and a woman in the modern world, full of expectations and social pressure. Ordinary life, extraordinary form.

Łukasiewicz is responsible for the music and words, and the music video is a joint work of Matylda Damięcka, who publishes her graphics as thegirlwhofellonearth, and Filip Żołnikowski.

The first single announcing the duo’s album is “Matka” – here the music was also created by Łukasiewicz, and the words were written together with Damięcka. At the moment it’s No. 1 on the charts on radio 357. The second – “Close”. When is the full album? It is not known yet.
