The Russian Defense Ministry has published an order that determines the procedure for the entry of Russians into volunteer detachments and the requirements for them. The document is posted on the portal of legal information.
According to the order, volunteers submit applications to their military commissariats, and when considering applications, they must pay attention to those who served and have military registration specialties.
The military commissariat can consider candidates within three days. At the same time, as indicated in the order, a specialist doctor must assess the health status of volunteers and draw up a conclusion. In addition, specialists from the military registration and enlistment offices must conduct a “professional psychological selection of candidates”, including assessing the motivation for entering the ranks of volunteers. The appendix to the order also sets out detailed requirements for the health of volunteers and their physical fitness.
If the commission recognizes the candidate as meeting the requirements, a contract is concluded with him to stay in a volunteer formation, after which he is given an appropriate certificate and an order with the date of arrival at the military unit. He must be provided with things, food and monetary allowance, weapons and material and technical means are assigned to him.
Volunteers are appointed to the position already at the place of formation of units, additional training is also provided for them for at least 10 days.
