Prosecutor’s Office: Criminal Court confirms that it has not granted a change of measures for Daniel Salcedo

The accused will remain in jail 4 in Quito.

Hours after the lawyer Joan Paul Egred, defender of Daniel Salcedo Bonilla, said that there was a change in the measures that weighed on the defendant, the Prosecutor’s Office reported that this will not be the case by decision of the Criminal Court.

Egred had indicated that Salcedo Bonilla would serve house arrest in the organized crime process that is being followed against him. This was due to “the serious shortcomings that currently exist in the prison system. And in that particular case it is necessary that this measure be reviewed precisely for that reason ”.

Daniel Salcedo will leave Prison 4 in Quito, the lawyer announced; Prosecutor’s Office denied change of measures by the Court

Through its Twitter account, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that before the reinstatement of the hearing, the Court analyzed the review of measures requested by Daniel and Noé Salcedo, Karina C. and Susana M., of which the last three refused and in the case of Daniel Salcedo, the order was requested to be completed.

“In the reinstatement of the trial hearing for alleged organized crime, the Criminal Court confirms that it has not granted a change of measures for Daniel SB and draws attention to his defense for the information released today that contradicts that resolution,” it was stated.

In the case of organized crime, Salcedo is investigated for being part of an alleged network that was dedicated to the irregular sale of medicines to public hospitals. (I)
