Former US President Donald Trump said that if he is re-elected as head of state, he will be able to resolve the conflict in Ukraine within a day, reports the Daily Caller.
Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump said that resolving the conflict “would be easy” and added that he “could do it within 24 hours.” At the same time, he stressed that for this “you need to be the president of the United States,” since “you need an office and powers.”
However, Trump declined to say what actions he intends to take if re-elected, stressing that the premature release of the plan will prevent him from realizing his plans.
Recall, on the eve of the anniversary of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, Trump said that if he wins the next presidential election in the United States, he will call his Russian and Ukrainian colleagues, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky, to resolve the military conflict. At the same time, the ex-president stressed that Russia would not have launched a military operation if he had remained the leader of the United States.
