There is no conversation that did not arise from the political, economic and social moment we are experiencing. And almost everyone eventually diagnoses that the underlying problem is education. In most cases, when they say that, they mean the school system, that is, from preschool to university. And they are right, as can be concluded from the evaluations carried out by international organizations specialized in the evaluation of academic success and the research of the National Institute for the Evaluation of Education (Ineval) which, among other aspects, says: “All students at the sub-level require immediate intervention to solve the problem numbers connected with examples from everyday life” (2022). This is also confirmed by the recent statement of the Minister of Education: “Every year we have students who are promoted without reaching the minimum standards, and sometimes we find students in the eighth grade who, perhaps, do not know how to read or even they know they don’t understand what they read and therefore it is impossible for them to continue a successful high school path.”

But that’s not all, the process of complete and harmonious human development, which is education, has two sources, one, the already mentioned systematic education, which takes place in specialized institutions in order to, in accordance with certain goals, educate up to the previous one. determined planning and programming, and the so-called non-systematic education, which is not institutionalized, is not carried out by specific personnel, is not programmed, nor does it have a known and explicit educational goal, it is spontaneous, it affects beings. in the formation by the action of presence, there is no prior intention. In other words, society itself, the environment that surrounds beings in formation, influences them. In reality, we are all educators of everyone around us and when we say that the root problem of the crisis in the country is education, we are saying that we are all responsible, albeit at different levels.

In other words, society itself, the environment that surrounds beings in formation, influences them.

For the first, there is an institutional duty to find a cure. Some changes in the education system were announced. In the form of evaluation, grace and remedial exams are suspended and only a supplementary exam remains, which will force students to study more. Changing the calendar, by moving from a five-year to a three-month system, establishes a higher frequency of evaluation, which would enable the identification of learning problems and the determination of the necessary measures to eliminate them during the entire school period. However, changes in teacher training and updating have not yet been announced. They are ready to transfer knowledge that most often ends in information, but for that they are less and less necessary, technological progress makes them available to everyone, but they are decisive for the formation of critical, creative, free, affective, social beings. , because democracy requires them and that requires another formation.

For the second source, the question remains: what can each of us do to change this? (OR)
