Sources told the newspaper that accidents occurred at other power plants in the republic. The Ministry of Energy of the country confirmed that “several failures were recorded in the energy system”, their causes are being established. Emergency services are working on troubleshooting, but the nuclear power plant will not be able to restore operation until 48 hours later, said Nucleoeléctrica Argentina, which is responsible for its operation. According to the company, electricity generation in the country fell by 10,000 MW from the usual rate of 25,000 MW.
