During the holiday weekend, more than 350 people found themselves in the police stations of Moscow because of the riots, whom the security forces consider to be involved in the informal Redan movement. This was reported by the source of RIA Novosti.
According to him, in Moscow on February 24 and 25, more than 350 people were taken to police departments, 319 of them were minors. The source added that the police seized gas cartridges, knives, and airsoft guns from some of those delivered.
The agency adds that the riots began after several members of the movement insulted “persons of non-Slavic appearance” on February 23. Then a group of teenagers went down to the subway, where they got into a fight with another group. The security forces opened a criminal case on hooliganism, charges were brought against three minors.
According to the source of the agency, after the checks, most of the teenagers were released, and administrative protocols were drawn up against the parents of 11 minors on failure to fulfill parental duties.
