He was close to being involved in another well-known production, this time dedicated to vampires.

In a recent episode of the Entertainment Weekly podcast EW’s Binge, focusing mainly on events from the world of cinema and television, the producers of the series “The Originals” appeared. It is a spin-off of the 2009 Vampire Diaries series, based on LJ Smith’s books of the same name. The plot focuses on the story of the original Mikaelson family, which faces problems after moving to New Orleans. The debut episode of the series attracted as many as 2.1 million viewers. One of the main characters, Marcellus “Marcel” Gerard, the leader of the vampire faction fighting for power in the French district, was played by the actor and model Charles Michael Davis, who also played this role in “The Diaries…”. As it turns out, Pedro Pascal also tried to get involved. In the late 1990s, the actor already starred in a production related to bloodsuckers (“Buffy: Vampire Slayer”), but it turned out that the biggest obstacle was age.

Although it was not his debut and he had participated in several successful productions, including “Wonder Woman” or the TV series “Law & Order”, it was the opportunity to play this character that gave him worldwide recognition, and as a result – an offer to play in “Narcos”. Since “Game of Thrones” he has successfully appeared not only in series, but also on the big screen – m. in the movie “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” or the latest “Wonder Woman 1984” three years ago. Today, he is mainly associated with the role of Joel in the successful adaptation of the game “The Last of Us”. The new, seventh episode will appear on the HBO Max platform on February 27, the eighth – on March 5, and the final, ninth – on March 12, 2023.
