Poland agreed to the adoption of the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia under six conditions. This was told to journalists by the Polish Ambassador to the EU Andrzej Sados, Interia reports.
The Polish authorities demanded that the EU Council and the European Commission consider the issue of “illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia” within the framework of the sanctions regime. In addition, Brussels should immediately start preparing a package of sanctions against Belarus. The diplomat noted that these sanctions should be adopted on Monday.
Also, the conditions included the development of measures against the Russian nuclear industry, including Rosatom and the management of the state corporation, and the discussion of sanctions against Russian diamonds. According to Sados, “there is a political agreement within the EU” on an embargo on their imports, but the issue needs to be agreed with the G7.
Finally, the European Commission should create a mechanism to monitor synthetic rubber imports from Russia and start working on sanctions against “Russian propagandists.” According to Sados, Poland has submitted more than 150 names to the EC, which should be included in the sanctions lists “in a very short time.”
Recall, earlier it was reported that the EU countries were able to agree on the tenth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, which was planned to be adopted by the anniversary of the start of the special operation.
