Russia is a nuclear power, which is why it cannot be “driven into a corner,” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said at a meeting with deputies from the ruling party coalition. According to the Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet, Orban said that “there will be no winners” in the conflict in Ukraine.
“Russia cannot win because the entire Western world supports Ukraine. And Russia is a nuclear power, and a nuclear power cannot be driven into a corner, because it can start a nuclear war, ”said the Hungarian Prime Minister.
In addition, Orban stressed that Europe has weakened over the past year due to the fact that the administration of US President Joseph Biden “unrestrictedly defends its interests in Brussels to the detriment of European ones.” According to him, the sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia began to weaken the European economy and at the same time did not affect the United States, “rich in cheap gas.”
Orban added that Hungary would not send weapons to Ukraine and would not join any military coalition. Budapest intends to be guided by the interests of its own security.
