After several hours closed, vehicular mobility resumed around 07:00 this Saturday on a section of the road to Daule that is close to the Litoral Penitentiary.
The road, the entrance and exit gate of Guayaquil, was closed last night after the riots in the Penitentiary that had been registered since the afternoon.
That generated that at night a congestion was reported in that road artery where factories and companies are located. It also serves as a link with the northern cantons of Guayas and Manabí.

The Traffic and Mobility Agency (ATM) reported that the resumption of circulation on the road to Daule is in both directions at the height of the Penitentiary. The entity asked to circulate with caution.
The clashes in the Penitentiary continued until dawn. Neighbors in the surrounding areas reported shots fired. The Police mobilized elements to the area of the penitentiary after learning of the new confrontations of inmates.
