Figure skater Roman Kostomarov underwent a new operation. According to RIA Novosti, citing a source in medical circles, the athlete was amputated with several fingers on his hands.

Meanwhile, information about the operation performed varies. So, the KP source said that the doctors were forced to amputate both hands to the skater, while the Match TV source noted that only one hand was amputated, and the decision on a possible operation on the second hand was postponed to the beginning of this week .

In turn, the mother of the Olympic champion Turin-2006 in sports dancing on ice told StarHit that her son had no operations. “And in general: half of what they write now is not true. We will not give any new information for now. There is a time for everything,” said Valentina Kostomarova.

Recall that on January 10, Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized with pneumonia. Due to the severity of his condition, doctors connected him to a ventilator and later to ECMO. As the media reported, later the skater began to have problems in peripheral circulation and gangrenous changes in the tissues of the limbs.
