The magistrate accepted an autonomous precautionary measure presented on February 12 by Attorney General Diana Salazar, in order to stop the decision of the National Director of Human Talent Administration of the Police, who on February 11 ordered the mobilization of the 37 members of the Investigation personnel and the 5 responsible agents provide personal security to the State Attorney General and her family.

Through a statement, the Prosecutor’s Office reported on Monday afternoon that the judicial resolution was based on an analysis of the factual and legal arguments presented and in the face of an imminent violation of various constitutional rights such as independence, effective judicial protection, legal certainty and security. of the Attorney General and her family.

In this way, Judge Jiménez determined to suspend the transfers until the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of the Interior “make a coordinated change, keeping due respect, observing the need of each institution and for the benefit of the country,” the entity reported.

On Monday morning, hours before the judicial decision, the Minister of the Interior, Juan Zapata, explained in the National Assembly that the rotation of police personnel who support the Prosecutor’s Office responds to the fact that they have completed the time they should provide their services in that instance.

He also announced that he would review the issue after a request made by the Prosecutor’s Office on Sunday, February 12.
