Representative of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that there is no data on a new wave of mobilization in Russia, RBC reports.
Thus, he commented on the US Embassy’s call for fellow citizens to leave Russia due to the possible mobilization of persons with dual citizenship.
“This is not the first time we hear such calls not to visit Russia and leave Russia. Therefore, this is not some kind of innovation. And the fact that it mentions citizens with dual citizenship – that is, those who have both American citizenship and Russian citizenship. Here, in any case, these citizens who are citizens of Russia are, first of all, citizens of Russia for us, regardless of what second citizenship they have, ”Peskov emphasized.
At the same time, to the question of whether there is data on a new wave of mobilization against the background of such statements, the US embassy Peskov replied: “No, there is no data”
Earlier, the US Embassy issued a warning for American citizens in Russia to urgently leave the country. The embassy suggested that the Russian authorities could refuse recognition of dual citizenship to Americans in Russia, prevent them from leaving the country and subject them to mobilization.
