In Moldova, attempts were being prepared to change the constitutional order, said President Maia Sandu. She also called on the country’s parliament to tighten security legislation, RIA Novosti reports.

“Documents received from our Ukrainian partners confirm the planned organization of these acts of sabotage, and also provide for the involvement of citizens of other countries for their implementation,” Sandu said. According to her, actions were planned with “involving saboteurs with military training who intend to attack some government buildings.” Sandu accused a number of opposition forces, including the Shor party, of attempting these acts of sabotage.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a speech at the European Council, said that Ukrainian intelligence had previously intercepted a “plan for the destruction of the democratic order” in Moldova, the Ukrainian side warned the Moldovan leadership. Later, the information and security service of Moldova stated that attempts to destabilize and undermine statehood were revealed in the country. The agency declined to provide more details due to the risk of jeopardizing “various ongoing operations.”
