It was not yet dark when two murderers were prowling the Santa Rosa citadel of the 24 de Mayo parish in the Quevedo canton on a motorcycle.
The two men were looking for Jorge Luis Muñoz Coello, 23, known as Mosquitoto kill it.
The hitmen took advantage of the fact that the victim was walking towards a bakery in the sector to fulfill the “order” to eliminate him. When he was close to him, they fired approximately 30 shots, 26 of which hit his head, thorax, abdomen, and other parts of his body.
The victim fell on the road. Mosquito he died with his eyes open. While his life was extinguished, the criminals escaped without being able to be stopped.

Some told the police that, apparently, the young man had been threatened because he was a relative of a man who would be a member of the Los Choneros criminal group, the police report indicates.
The relatives of the deceased told the Police that Jorge Luis worked as a cleaner in a local bank.

Erick Carrera, Police colonel, responsible for the Quevedo-Mocache District, indicated that at the site the Criminalistics Unit seized 12 shells percussed in 9 mm caliber.
Carrera also noted that the deceased had no criminal record.
The police report details that the crime occurred between the Santa Rosa citadel and the Juan de Dios Zárate sector, a place where the control of micro-trafficking would be in dispute.
Ten violent deaths in five days
From Saturday afternoon to Wednesday in Quevedo eight violent deaths were recorded, two other people were murdered in Babahoyo.
Five of the victims were shot at the La Isla de la Ruta Ecológica field on Saturday afternoon. During the massacre, three other people, including a woman, were injured.
The following day, Sunday night, in the Los Chapulos sector of the San Camilo parish, Jonathan Piedra, 27, was shot, while on Tuesday afternoon men aboard a van arrived at the El Desquite 4 sector to murder Samuel Castillo, 22 years old. To these is added the violent death of Jorge Muñoz.
In Babahoyo, on Sunday Juan José Vergara was shot. Men on a motorcycle shot him when he was driving in his car through the El Matecito compound of the Febres Cordero parish.
On Wednesday morning, Job Valdez Sandoya was found shot in the head in the brush at the El Guayabo compound in Babahoyo. On his body, his attackers left a note that said “as a thief and extortionist,” the police report said.
The deceased also registered nine legal proceedings for robbery and another two for possession of weapons and drugs.
