In the suburbs, a policeman shot dead a man who attacked him with a chisel

In the Moscow region, a policeman shot an aggressively behaving man who attacked a law enforcement officer with a metalwork tool, the press service of the regional head office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the department, the previous morning the police received a message that at one of the houses in the village of Pravdinsky in the Pushkin city district, “an unknown person got into the applicant’s car.” Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and saw a man in a running car. During the arrest, the man offered “active resistance”, ran into one of the nearest houses and there, threatening the owner of the house and his pregnant wife with reprisals, tried to hide on the second floor.

The man did not respond to the demands of the police to stop the illegal behavior. In addition, he tried to stab one of the law enforcement officers with a percussion-cutting tool that was in his hands. The policeman fired at the attacker and inflicted a gunshot wound on him. Police officers called an ambulance, which pronounced the attacker dead.

All circumstances of the incident are established.
