The main museum complex of the St. Petersburg Hermitage is open to pensioners free of charge on Thursdays. A free visit to the Main Museum Complex is available for pensioners from the Russian Federation and the EAEU countries.
On other days of the week, pensioners have a reduced price for entrance tickets to the Main Museum Complex – 300 rubles, as well as the opportunity to visit the General Staff Building and the Museum of the Imperial Porcelain Factory without a guided tour.
In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Hermitage was forced to temporarily reduce the list of categories of visitors to whom the museum granted the right to preferential or free admission.
Taking into account the numerous requests of pensioners for the return of benefits, the Hermitage has found the best option for receiving older people.
Retirees planning a visit to the Hermitage can issue tickets on the website tickets.hermitagemuseum.org under the “Tickets for Senior Citizens” tab with all reduced and free tickets available for this category. Tickets can also be purchased at the museum box office on the day of the visit.
When visiting the museum on preferential terms, pensioners must have a document confirming their identity and belonging to a privileged category. The cashier and the controller at the entrance can ask the visitor for a document confirming the status of a pensioner.
