The former mayor of Quito and candidate in the last sectional elections, Jorge Yunda, denounced on his social networks that he had been the victim of a robbery at his home, in the north of the capital. The photos shared on Twitter reveal open drawers and scattered clothing. On the night of Monday, February 6, the photographs were released.

Yunda told this newspaper that six people, four men and two women, entered armed and subdued the guard, tied up her neighbor, who was also robbed, and entered her home where only her father was.
He also detailed that they took televisions, laptops and decorations. “It is a group that has video surveillance, 24-hour guards, a security booth, but, in the face of weapons, nothing can be done,” she emphasized.
“Fourth time they robbed us, with firearms they subdued the guard, they tied up the neighbors inside their homes, luckily they only robbed us,” says their first publication at 9:46 p.m.
