Elections 2023: National Electoral Council carries out the waxing of the scrutiny and results system

At 3:30 p.m., at the Command Center of the National Electoral Council (CNE), the waxing of the scrutiny data system and results was carried out with the presence of the Twenty-sixth Notary of the Quito canton, Homero López Obando.

The presentation of the waxing was in charge of Fernando Toledo, director of electoral processes of the CNE, with the presence of the national administrator of the counting data system and results, Gladys Flores, who entered the system and gave way to the waxing process of the database.

Subsequently, the pertinent reports were generated and the report was printed for each province and for each of the dignities, as well as the referendum and the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control.

As of 5:00 p.m., when the voting phase closes, the scrutiny will begin in each of the Vote Receiving Boards (JRV), at the national level. For this, in each meeting there will be two groups to proceed to count the votes; The first, will be made up of the president and a member of the table that will be in charge of processing the vote for the dignities of mayors, prefects, urban and rural councilors, as well as members of the parish councils.

The second group is made up of the secretary and two members who will scrutinize the referendum ballots and the advisors of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control. Once this process is finished, each member of the JRVs will sign the corresponding minutes.

According to the director of Electoral Processes of the CNE, Fernando Toledo, from 7:00 p.m. the first results of the dignity of mayor will begin to enter, and at 8:00 p.m., there will be another dignity and so on. (YO)
