Sun, clouds, and rain forecasts the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) for this Sunday, February 5, the day of sectional elections and referendum.

There will be high ultraviolet radiation between 10:00 and 16:00 and it will be in the Inter-Andean region where it will be felt the most.

In Quito, for example, the temperature will oscillate between 9 and 22 degrees Celsius and there would be sun, but also rain.

To the north of Ecuador, in the city of Tulcán, there would be clouds and sun while the temperature would go from 6 to 15 degrees.

Madelyn Enríquez, Inamhi forecast analyst, indicated that partly cloudy skies are expected in the Litoral region with progressive increases in cloudiness that will cause rain events, mainly in the provinces of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Los Ríos and Guayas.

This will take place in the late afternoon and extend into the early morning hours.

In the Sierra -he added- there will be a partially cloudy sky with high variation in the morning and the possibility of sporadic rains during the afternoon, especially in the provinces of Carchi, Imbabura, Pichincha and Loja.

In the Ecuadorian Amazon during the day, the sky will be mostly cloudy with rainfall events of light to moderate intensity, especially in the provinces of Sucumbíos, Napo, Orellana, and Pastaza.

In the Galapagos, the sky will be slightly cloudy with an increase in daytime temperatures and isolated rains could occur. (YO)
