Antisocials clashed with bullets a few blocks from the Community Police Unit (UPC) of Socio Vivienda 2, in the northwest of Guayaquil.
It would be a confrontation between criminal gangs that dispute the territory for the sale of drugs in the sector.
Two men were murdered in the workshop on Av. July 25, in the south of Guayaquil
The police apprehended three of the individuals involved in the confrontation whom they identified as members of the Los Tiguerones gang.
The men were taken to a Florida police headquarters and then to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Christian Mayorga, head of the Nueva Prosperina district, ruled out that behind the confrontation between the antisocials there was an intention to attack the UPC of Socio Vivienda, a facility that has already received attacks on at least three occasions.
Said UPC has been maintained with metal fences since the violent acts perpetrated by criminals in November of last year in various locations in the country.
The apprehended had in their possession a communication radio, a revolver and a pistol with a feeder with a capacity of up to 50 ammunition, reported ecuavisa.

Mayorga mentioned that one of the detainees has a history of illegal trafficking of controlled substances and theft.
Nueva Prosperina is the district with the highest homicide rates in Zone 8, made up of Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón. It registers about 40 crimes. (YO)
