Russian footballer Alexander Kokorin, who plays for the Cypriot Aris, believes that every normal man should serve time in prison. It is reported by RBC with reference to an interview with a football player on the Superliga YouTube channel.
“This is a great experience, a good school. I once said that every normal guy and man should serve time in order to get and feel such a school. You need to do such a life hack to bring the guys who swam to their senses – for one or two months in a pre-trial detention center, ”Kokorin said.
According to the footballer, he himself does not regret that he served time.
In the fall of 2018, Kokorin, his brother Kirill, Pavel Mamaev, who plays for Rostov this season, as well as children’s coach Alexander Protasovitsky, became defendants in a criminal case after a fight in the center of Moscow.
In May 2019, the Presnensky Court of Moscow convicted four defendants in a criminal case for two fights in the center of Moscow. The defendants received prison sentences ranging from one year and five months (Mamaev and Protasovitsky) to one and a half years (the Kokorin brothers). After spending 11 months in the colony, both football players and Kokorin Jr. were released early (on parole) in September 2019, Protasovitsky was released in early November.
