More than 13 million Ecuadorian citizens were summoned to exercise their right to vote in the sectional elections 2023where they will be chosen prefects, vice-prefects, mayors, rural and urban councillors, members of the parish councils and principal and substitute councilors of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS).
Election day, in which the popular consultation proposed by President Guillermo Lasso will also take place, will take place at the national level next Sunday, February 5.
How to check if I am a table member in the 2023 elections in Ecuador?
The voters of the urban areas will receive a total of seven ballots, which differ from each other by their color:
- Gray: members of the CPCCS
- Sky blue color: mayors
- Lilac: rural councilors
- Orange colour: prefects
- Green color: urban councilors
- Yellow color: vestry
- Pink color: Popular consultation Seville Don Bosco
- White color: Referendum
For how many and how to vote?
The vote is on the plate in the case of urban and rural councilors and members of the parish councils choosing a preference list in which they vote for that entire group of applicants.
After voting, the ballots for mayors and prefects must go in the white ballot box.

It will take each voter about six minutes to vote, according to CNE calculations.
