Astronomy fans will be able to observe a historic event this Wednesday, February 1. This is the comet called C/2022 E3 (ZTF), better known as green kite.
The celestial body was discovered last year, but it is not the first time it has passed through the Earth. He visited the planet 50,000 years ago, on his way through his elliptical trajectory.
This event will not be repeated for another 50,000 years, so it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to appreciate the comet and its brilliant green light.
Although it can currently be seen from the northern hemisphere of the planet, in Ecuador it can be seen more clearly from February 1, between 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. the next day.
That day the comet will be closer to the Earth, it will have a magnitude of 5.4 and will be located in the constellation of camelopardalis (the giraffe).
