In Nueva Prosperina they are looking for an alleged rapist who recorded when he abused children in the sector

Ricardo A., a man from Cuenca, arrived a year ago to live in the Horizontes del Fortín cooperative, in Nueva Prosperina. He made friends in the neighborhood and soon after organized a group to train soccer with the children of the sector.

Today they are looking for him for allegedly raping at least five minors and recording the abuse.

“He said that he was a soccer coach and even used a credential from the Ministry of the Interior,” said a resident.

Neighbors said that several times a week the suspect took minors to the field in the sector and that the children were with him until 10:00 p.m. or even later.

All that apparent façade fell when last week the alleged coach’s cell phone was stolen and shortly after the videos began to circulate with the alleged abuse of children.

“It seems that the thief passed the videos to someone and that was spread in a few hours. The images are very strong,” said a neighbor.

Although the mob tried to capture the man, locals mentioned that the suspect had already left.

The apartment that he rented for two months is now locked.

But before, the subject lived about 100 meters from that point, in a rented house where there were several apartments and had some friends.

In the early hours of this Monday, January 30, individuals posing as agents arrived at that house and scaled walls and knocked down the door of one of the apartments with a combo.

There they kidnapped a man who was a neighbor and a friend of the alleged rapist. After beating him, they took him away in a red car.

“They asked him where the rapist was, where he was hiding,” said a close friend of the man who was kidnapped and appeared lifeless shortly after in the Socio Vivienda sector. They had fired thirteen shots at him.

The neighbors were amazed by the level of violence and were sorry because they said that the now deceased was not related to the alleged abuses or at least would not appear in the videos.

In the sector it transpired that among the abused children would be the son of a leader of a criminal gang that currently controls the area.

Some indicated that this illegal organization would be hunting down the man accused of the rape. (YO)
