After the multiple murder that occurred on Saturday, January 28, in an urbanization of Daule, the Guayas Prosecutor’s Office has carried out several raids to find the murderers and discover the motivation for the attack that left five dead: an active duty policeman, an ex-policeman, a 15 month old baby, his father and a family friend.

They had been gathered celebrating from the afternoon of Friday the 27th until the morning of Saturday the 28th when some visitors, whom they authorized to enter minutes before, fired 54 shots at them.
The house where they were killed is on block 27 and belonged to José Javier Soria, the father of the minor (both murdered), but it was discovered that the former police officer, identified as Estuardo Granados Vasco, also lived in the same urbanization located in the Leon Febres-Cordero Avenue.

The uniformed officers carried out a search not only of the house where the party and the subsequent crime took place, but also of the home of the former police officer who was fired in 2021.
According to the Police, in that house, located on the 25th block of the urbanization, they found $380,000 in cash, three pairs of vehicle identification plates, a pistol-type weapon, ammunition, communication radios, a computer, and uniforms similar to those of law enforcement officers.

The uniformed also made technical verifications of three motorcycles and a type car jeep They were found outside the urbanization and it is not known who they belong to.
It was also known that the ex-policeman’s spouse, identified as Tatiana SS, was detained for investigations and that she is being prosecuted for the crime of illegal possession and carrying of weapons.
The adults who died in the urbanization were identified as:
Jose Javier Soria Briones, the owner of the house where the attack took place and father of the deceased baby. He was a native of Quevedo and was investigated for two murders in 2015 and 2020, but he was never brought to trial.
The Prosecutor’s Office even investigated him for the murder of aliases itchythe leader of Los Choneros, who was riddled with bullets in a Manta shopping center in December 2020.
