Hours before the massacre of five people in an urbanization in Daule, a meeting was held at the house where some of the victims lived, attended by police, military and traffic agents.

The neighbors said that they heard loud music from 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, and that the meeting lasted until the morning of this Saturday, January 28.
An hour before the crime, several people came to visit them, whom the homeowners authorized to enter through the security checkpoint, revealed the Police. These arrived in two cars.
There were four men, a baby and a woman in the house when the visitors arrived.
It was known that the visitors were in the house for about an hour until a discussion would have started. The neighbors at 10:10 heard shouts, insults and then fifty shots.
Criminalistics agents raised that number of ballistic evidence inside and outside the house.

The four men died at the scene, the baby was injured and her mother, the only one unharmed, took her to the hospital where the minor died shortly after, having received two bullet wounds.
The deceased adults were identified as:
Jose Javier Soria Briones, the owner of the house and father of the deceased baby. He was a native of Quevedo and was investigated for two murders in 2015 and 2020, but he was never brought to trial.
The Prosecutor’s Office even investigated him for the murder of aliases scratchy, the leader of Los Choneros, who was shot in a shopping center in Manta in December 2020.

Stuart David Granados Vasco, policeman who was terminated from duty in 2021 and who lived in the same urbanization. Granados has judicial processes for reception in 2022 and illicit association in 2021.

The Police learned that less than a month ago Soria would have bought the house that was the target of the attack.

It was also learned that after the massacre the murderers tried to flee in a van that was abandoned in the urbanization and that they later escaped in a red vehicle to an unknown destination.
In the house where the attack took place, the police found a firearm, chargers and 9 mm and 2.23 cartridges (rifle).
The house of the ex-policeman Granados was also searched by the agents. There they found money packed in different packages, weapons, ammunition and police clothing, according to information provided. (YO)
