The Quito Metro issued a statement informing the closure of its stations this Sunday, January 29 and Monday, January 30.
The project provides free trips for citizens as part of phase two of familiarization, before the start of commercial operations.
The accesses will be closed after the first week of induction with passenger trips. “It is pertinent and necessary to maintain a process of evaluation of the operability of the most important mass transportation subsystem in the country,” the statement said.
According to the municipal company and the Medellín Transdev Metro Operating Company (Eommt SAS), during the first week they transferred around 10,000 people on induction trips.
