Former Defense Minister of the DPR Igor Strelkov said he would not join Wagner PMC. In his Telegram channel, he wrote that he had previously promised to come to Lugansk to discuss a possible entry into the organization, but the latest statement by PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin “completely rules out” such a possibility.
Strelkov added that he could not serve under a man who “openly accused me of betraying Russia,” noting that these accusations were accompanied by “dirty insults.”
Earlier, Prigozhin described two scenarios of how Strelkov could get into the organization and what prospects he has. According to the first option, in Lugansk, he will get to the standard procedure of the “council of commanders”, among whom there are “a couple of dozen people” who are angry with him. They were said to be asking Strelkov some questions. After that, it was supposed to “throw” Strelkov “in the thick of hell”, where he would “prove his reliability.”
The second scenario for Strelkov is that he can be selected, trained and fight like a regular attack aircraft.
