Ricardo Javier Cuenca Ruperti died almost 48 hours after suffering an attack in the Centenario neighborhood of the city of Manta.
That day, Patricio Armendariz, chief of the Manta Police district, indicated that Cuenca, known as “Trompudo Ricky,” received around nine bullet wounds, mostly in the lower extremities.
In the place, special units of the Police raised about thirteen ballistic indications.
After the attack, Cuenca was transferred to a medical home to be treated. Despite medical efforts, the death of the man was known last Monday afternoon.
According to Armendariz, the victim was being investigated by the police for his alleged participation in illegal activities. He had a criminal record for robbery, theft and conspiracy.
