A clandestine track that has a distance of 500 meters, on a ballasted road, was discovered on the morning of this Friday, January 27, on the Punta Carnero-La Diablica road, in the province of Santa Elena.

The area would allegedly be used for activities related to drug trafficking, for the shipment of drugs to Central America, it was preliminarily indicated.

An Aeropolicial helicopter arrived at the site and flew over the area, as well as soldiers from the Cosme Renella Superior Military Aviation School.
Juan Carlos Soria, chief of the Santa Elena Police, mentioned that an inspection was carried out in the area after receiving reports of suspicious plane departures.
Machinery will be used on site to disable the clandestine runway.
