The state traffic inspectorate in the Chelyabinsk region is establishing the circumstances of an accident involving four cars, in which two people died, five more, including two children, were injured. It is reported by TASS.
“As a result of the accident, the driver of the LADA Vesta car and the driver of the LADA Granta car died at the scene from their injuries. Two passengers of the LADA Vesta car were taken to the hospital, three passengers of the LADA Granta car, including two children (three and eight years old) were taken to the hospital with injuries of varying severity. Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident,” the report said.
The accident occurred at 10:32 (08:32 Moscow time) on the 70th km of the Chelyabinsk-Troitsk highway in the Uvelsky district. According to preliminary data, the driver of the LADA Granta car in snowfall conditions tried to avoid a collision with a passing car, drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a LADA Vesta car, an oncoming Mercedes truck and an accompanying Volvo truck with a semi-trailer.
