Employee of a gas station and owner of a vulcanizer were murdered in the province of Esmeraldas

José Quendambú Cortéz, 33, and Pedro Bone Franco, 26, died from bullet wounds at their jobs in Quinindé and Esmeraldas, between morning and noon on Thursday the 26th.

Quedambú was the owner of a vulcanizing plant located on the Quinindé – Las Golondrinas highway, center of the green province.

Around 11:00 a.m., two individuals on a motorcycle arrived at his premises and shot him in the head before fleeing the site.

It was learned that his relatives removed the body before the forensic team arrived.

The deceased left three underage girls orphaned.

Meanwhile, after noon, Pedro Bone was murdered while working at a service station, located in the north of the city of Esmeraldas.

Videos from the establishment’s surveillance cameras and versions of the deceased’s companions would be two hooded subjects who would have arrived on a motorcycle and shot Bone.

The violent attack happened two blocks from the Naval citadel and near the buildings of the Conagopare, ECU911 and subcenter type C Las Palmas.

The injured man was transferred to the Las Palmas subcenter, where the doctors and nurses on duty verified his death.

Police agents from the Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased), Criminalistics and Legal Medicine of Esmeraldas are investigating the case.

So far this week, another six violent deaths have been recorded in Rioverde and the capital of Esmeralda.

Víctor Napa was murdered on the island of Luis Vargas Torres. The man received bullet wounds to the head on the recent Wednesday afternoon. That same day, Carlos Minota Vela died, in the Palestina parish, in the Rioverde canton, in the north of this province.

The previous Tuesday, the 17-year-old teenager Isaac O. died at his home, after being discharged from the Delfina Torres South Hospital. The day before, he had been attacked along with two other young people in the Santa Martha neighborhood. The murderers would have expected him to leave the sanatorium to end his life.

At the beginning of this week, Wilson Jaramillo Espinal (31 years old) was assassinated in the Coquito Bajo neighborhood, north of the city, under the form of hit men. Also, a former police officer, identified as Teofilo Palomino (65), died in similar circumstances in the Propicia 4 neighborhood, south of the city.

On Sunday the 22nd of this month, Leonardo Corozo Valencia (38 years old) was killed with several bullet wounds, also on the island of Luis Vargas Torres.
