A woman was affected with gunshot wounds while she was inside a pharmacy in the Nueva Prosperina sector, in the northwest of Guayaquil.
It was learned that around midnight this Friday the 20th a person fired several shots at the pharmacy facilities.
As a result of that, the citizen, who would be the owner of the business, was injured and was taken to a health home in the Monte Sinai sector.
At the site, minutes later his death was confirmed, so members of various investigative units went to the site to remove the body and collect more elements to clarify the fact.

Fausto Miño, deputy chief of zone 8 of the Police, indicated that the Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased) is still investigating the case.
Unofficially, it was learned that extortion threats such as “vaccines” had been being issued in the area. For now, the investigations continue to find the attacker and, if applicable, with his accomplices.
In zone 8, which includes Samborondón and Durán, there have already been more than 100 violent deaths this year. Of those cases, at least 38 events were registered in Nueva Prosperina.
