A man died from bullet wounds at a rally of a political organization in the center of San Lorenzo del Pailón, on the northern border of Esmeraldas.
The incident happened at about 10:00 p.m. on Friday the 20th, when a political musical concert was taking place on 5 Agosto and 10 Agosto avenues.
As it turned out, one of the attendees would have fired a firearm that generated a stampede. Then a man was observed lying on the street with bullet wounds to the head and blood stains.

The victim was identified as Hernán Hernández Lerma, 23 years old.
The wounded man was taken to the Divina Providencia hospital in San Lorenzo, where the police verified his death.
The police report details the lack of collaboration and hostile attitude of the people who were in this place. In addition, they prevented the agents from carrying out the respective procedure and forcibly took the body from the sanatorium.
Videos uploaded on social networks also show people who were helped in their transfer, since before or after the crime, there was an altercation with the throwing of bottles and objects. Even a woman was carried by a man, with signs of fainting.

Three other deaths in Esmeraldas
Julio Aldás Castillo (36 years old), Jorge Fuentes Paladines (33) and an unidentified person died in the cities of Esmeraldas and Quinindé, between Thursday and Friday recently.
Aldás died from a gunshot wound while he was working at his mango sales place at the intra-cantonal passenger bus stop, on the E15 south road, through the San Rafael Valley. A woman was also injured, apparently she was a collateral victim.
On the road to Guayllabamba, in Quinindé (downtown Esmeraldas), Fuentes Paladines, owner of a nightclub located in that sector, was shot to death.
Witnesses revealed to the police officers that four subjects aboard two motorcycles arrived at the establishment and committed the crime to then flee in the same vehicles.
In the Santa Marta neighborhood, on the banks of the Esmeraldas river, one person also died after being transferred to the type C Las Palmas subcenter, last night (YO)
