The Correistas and Social Christians with their legislative allies will lead the investigation into the alleged acts of corruption in public companies that would involve Danilo Carrera, brother-in-law of the President of the Republic, Guillermo Lasso.
The proposal to form this occasional table was raised by the legislator Yeseña Guamaní, separated from the ID benchwho affirmed that the Assembly cannot be undaunted by what happens in public companies with the delivery of contracts by hand with an overbilling, which will end up liquidating the country.
The case refers to the alleged existence of a network of current government officials whose structure apparently demanded bribes to award contracts in public electricity companies and there are even complaints from contractors who assure that they had to pay bribes to be able to collect the payrolls.
