To file a complaint with the State Attorney General’s Office, citizens usually go to specific offices without knowing their functions.
The entity points out that according to the circumstances the crimes can be flagrant or not flagrant. In the first case, these occur when the crime is committed and the suspect must be apprehended within 24 hours of the event. They must be denounced in flagrante units.

For the second case, it is when the suspect has not been apprehended within 24 hours of the event and these are reported to the Comprehensive Care System (SAI).
People who seek to file a complaint should only go to the respective units with their identity card and it is not necessary for a lawyer to present it. The procedure is free.
