Four lifeless bodies were found in an abandoned vehicle between the Carlos Rubira and Grelia Reyes sectors, in the Santa Elena canton.

On Monday night, citizens who were crossing a dirt street, where the vehicle remained, alerted ECU911 of the news. Initially, they observed two corpses inside the car.
Said sedan-type car had been parked on the road since morning, with parking lights on, according to neighbors.
After the emergency call, uniformed police officers attended the scene to verify the status of the abandoned vehicle and verified that the occupants of it were without vital signs.

When verifying the site, two bodies were found inside the cabin: one on a seat and the other on the floor.
Upon continuing with the review, they found two other bodies were found in the area of the trunk.
All the bodies were handcuffed, police personnel indicated, without specifying whether they had gunshot wounds.

The victims are male, although it is expected to corroborate their identity with people previously reported missing in the Ancón sector, said uniformed officers.
After the analysis of the scene, personnel from Criminalistics, the Directorate of Violent Deaths and the Judicial Police were in charge of raising evidence at the scene. With the support of a Forensic Medicine vehicle, the corpses were transferred to the morgue.
This Monday afternoon another violent event was reported in the canton of La Libertad. This person was in a workshop where they repair washing machines, when subjects came to attack him in the Abdón Calderón sector. (YO)
