Artist Maxim Galkin (included in the number of individuals performing the functions of a foreign agent – ed.) is deprived of regional awards of the Kemerovo region. The corresponding resolution was signed by the governor of the Kemerovo region Sergey Tsivilev.

Galkin was stripped of the Order of Honor of Kuzbass, which he received in 2013, and the medal “For Faith and Good”, which he was awarded in 2004, “in connection with the commission of a misdemeanor discrediting him as a recipient.”

Representatives of the Kemerovo regional veterans’ organization turned to Tsivilev with a request to deprive Galkin of regional awards. The reason was that, according to the appeal of the veterans, Galkin, during a performance in Dubai, uttered the “slogan of Ukrainian nationalists” from the stage: when the audience shouted “glory to Ukraine” during the concert, the artist replied with the phrase “glory to the heroes.”

Governor Tsivilev announced in his Telegram channel that he supports the initiative of the veteran organization.

In 2022, Galkin spoke out against the Russian military operation in Ukraine and after that, together with his wife Alla Pugacheva and two children, he left for Israel. After moving, he began touring abroad and announced that he would transfer part of the funds earned from ticket sales to Ukrainian refugees.
